Jaime teamed up with Home Depot to create 48 wooden lanterns for a wedding. You can check out the complete step by step plan here, or see Jaime's quick video tutorial here

Jaime created 48 lanterns for a wedding. She used both 3/4″ and 1″ wood dowels, varying the height and width of the lanterns a bit for visual effect. If you plan to make only one then you can decide on a particular size, but if you want to stack them in the middle of a table the way Jaime did hers, you'll definitely want to vary the heights.

If you create them all at one height you will have to place them in a row on the table. Oh, and this would be dependent on the types of table being used at the event. Long rectangular tables will work if you want to place them in a row but, this will not have the same effect for trestle or small round tables.
