DIY Ombre Paint Chip Chevron Necklace | Paint Chip Crafts

Ombre fashion, interior and jewelry items are absolutely a trend in the fashion world and paint chips are a rising trend in the DIY world. So why not make a bold statement necklace using some paint swatches for ombre chevron jewelry!

I’ll teach you on how to make this charming paint chip chevron ombre necklace. It’s so easy to make! You just need a few materials to get you started.

Let’s start crafting 🙂

You’ll be needing the following materials for this DIY jewelry:

  • paint chip
  • chain necklace
  • 2 small jump rings
  • something with a triangular edge / triangle ruler
  • a piece of plastic
  • scissors
  • pen
  • glue
  • paint brush
  • push pin
  • jewelry pliers

Step 1

Find a paint chip in a color that you like. We’ll use blue for this tutorial. Take the paint swatches and cut them separately. Cut the paint chip in pieces.

Step 2

Then use your triangle ruler to create a chevron shape on the back of one of the pieces of paint swatch.

Step 3

Cut out the first chevron piece and use it to trace around for the other pieces of paint chip. Then cut all of them out.

Step 4

Put some glue with your paintbrush on the back of the chevron pieces and glue them in the right order on your piece of plastic.

Step 5

Put another layer of glue on the glued chevron pieces using the same paint brush.

Step 6

Wait until the glue is completely dry then cut out your chevron necklace hanger.

Step 7

Use a push pin to make two holes in each upper corner of your chevron necklace hanger.

Step 8

Take your jewelry pliers  and attach the chain necklace with the small jump rings to your clasp.

There you have it! Your DIY jewelry – a pretty ombre paint chip chevron necklace.

Comments

  1. Thank you. Thinking about colors and shapes. Wow the money we could save. Love the dragonfly necklace. Where did you fine it?

  2. I cannot believe any reputable person would recommend stealing. That is what it amounts to when you take these paint chips without the intent of using them to purchase paint. These stores have to purchase these, it is not fair to them to take them with no intent on making a purchase from them.
