Toilet cleaning is one of the least enjoyable moments of owning a home, but it has to be done. Sometimes however no matter how often you clean, there can be stubborn stains left behind. This is where the heavy- duty cleaners come into play, but we don't want you to use any harsh chemicals like bleach so we have some natural options that are even more effective. Read on for more!

Baking Soda and Vinegar

I swear this is like a magic mixture that can clean pretty much anything in your home, including the toilet. You'll need to mix equal parts vinegar and baking soda and use a sponge to apply the paste on the stains. Let it sit for about 20 minutes then scrub with a brush and some warm water. Repeat the process for extra stubborn stains and your toilet should be sparkling in no time.

Lemon Juice & Salt

Lemon juice contains citric acid which binds to minerals in the toilet bowl making them easier to eliminate. It can help diminish tough toilet stains left by hard water or any other tough stain whether in your sink, shower of tile. Just cut a lemon in half and pour some salt on a table, then rub the lemon in the salt and rub it directly on stained area. Let it sit for about 15 minutes then rinse with warm water. This natural cleaner works for other stains in the home as well, try it on your stovetop to remove grease.

Borax

You dont need to buy toilet bowl cleaner if you have a box of borax at home. All you need to do is pour some of the powder in your toilet and let it sit overnight, you'll notice the difference in the morning.
