Easy Detox Tea Recipe

Love fast food and junk food? Shamefully, I do too. Despite my best effort to eat healthily, there are just some days that I crave and can’t help myself from opening a bag of chips or going out to my favorite fast-food chain.

I know that it’s bad but I just can’t help myself sometimes. Knowing that I searched for ways to flush out the fat and toxins in my body. And what better way to do it than a detox drink.

This detox tea recipe I’m sharing has a green tea base and we all know that green tea has a lot of benefits. From antioxidants to weight loss, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t drink it. So let’s begin, start brewing your tea and let’s start detoxifying your body!

Ingredients:

• 1 liter of green tea
• 1/2 tbsp. turmeric
• 1 lemon
• A dash of cayenne pepper
• Honey to taste

Step 1: Start Brewing

Brew about a liter of green tea.

Step 2: Transfer the Tea

Transfer your tea to a mason jar or any container you have available.

Step 3: Add the Turmeric Powder

Add your turmeric.

Step 4: Add Lemon Juice

Cut your lemon and squeeze it into the tea.

Step 5: Add the Cayenne Powder

Add a dash of cayenne powder. Remember that this is very hot. If you just want to have a little kick in your detox tea, don’t add a lot.

Step 6: Add the Honey

Add honey to taste. If you want to make it sweeter, add more!

Step 7: Mix & Enjoy

Mix it well. You can drink it as is or let it cool in the refrigerator.
