It’s so much fun to make and will only take you less than 10 minutes to complete. Make it in any color you want for an amazing DIY centerpiece.

So if you’ve always been wondering how to make paper flowers you can turn into DIY candle holders, just follow this easy tutorial!

What you’ll need to make DIY paper flower candle holders:

  • 4 colored papers (this makes one paper flower candle holder)
  • scissors
  • ruler (optional)
  • candle jar

Step 1

Fold the paper into a triangle and cut the end using your ruler or scissors to form a square.

Step 2

Fold your triangle in the middle three times until you have a small right triangle. Using your scissors, cut the excess sheet.

Step 3

Round the edge with your scissor making a half petal shape.

Step 4

Cut about a few centimeters from the edge of your half petal but not all the way then make the same cut a few centimeters below that. We’ll be creating the design for the flower by doing so and it should look like this:

Repeat these steps to make another one.

Step 5

Now for the second kind of flower, repeat steps 1-3 only. Making two of them.

Step 6

Take one of the paper flowers you made without the design and fold it around the candle jar to get the shape and make it rise a bit.

Step 7

Continue folding the other paper flowers following the lines to make them rise as well.

Step 8

Layer everything together starting with the paper flowers with the design overlapping them, followed by the other paper flowers placing the one you shaped with the candle on top. Once you’ve done that, place your candle jar on top to hold everything together and you’re done!

TIP: You can optionally use hot glue to keep everything together.

Now that you’re done the only thing left to do is light up you candle and admire its beauty. You can make a couple more if you’re holding a party or just want to make an impressive DIY centerpiece. Wasn’t that an easy paper craft in mere minutes?
