Make Instant Snow in a Cup

This DIY fake snow project is similar to a science experiment! With only two ingredients, you can watch snow grow in seconds before your very eyes! It’s super fun for everyone.

Ingredients for Instant Snow:

1. Add the Instant Snow

Make sure the inside of the cup is super dry and not at all wet or even moist. Then add the Insta Snow to the cup (about three tablespoons will do).

2. Add the Water

Add the water to the brim of the cup. Wait for a few seconds and be amazed as the liquid turns into snow before your eyes!

The magic of this fake snow is all thanks to a super absorbent material called a polymer, the main ingredient inside Insta Snow.

What is a polymer? It’s a super-absorbent material that acts like millions of microscopic sponges that can absorb water.

The Insta Snow absorbs about three to five hundred times its weight in water. As soon as it touches the water, the molecules move away from each other allowing the water to go inside like a sponge creating a fluffy material that looks like snow.
