Homemade Nutella Chocolate Chip Muffin Recipe
Nutella makes everything better. Lovers of the hazelnut cocoa spread put it on everything from pancakes and pop tarts to bacon and even double double cheeseburgers. While putting Nutella on meat might be a tad bit strange (but still delicious), there’s nothing weird about putting it on your dessert. And what better way to satisfy that sweet tooth than by throwing Nutella into a chocolate chip muffin? Use Instructables’ user ‘s homemade Nutella chocolate chip muffin recipe to create a wonderfully delicious treat.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 c. unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 c. caster sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 c. hazelnut milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 4 tbsp. Nutella
- 3 tbsp. cocoa powder
- 2 c. self-raising flour
- 2/3 c. chocolate chips
- Nutella truffles
Step 1: Combine Ingredients in 2 Separate Bowls
In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter, sugar and two eggs together until the mixture gets foamy. Now add the milk, vanilla and 4 tablespoons of Nutella and continue mixing.
In another bowl, combine the the flour and cocoa powder. Mix well.
Step 2: Make Batter, Add Chocolate Chips
Now pour the wet mixture (egg, vanilla, etc) into the dry flour and gently combine. Also add 3/4 of the chocolate chips and continue to mix.
Step 3: Add Batter To Muffin Tin
Spoon the mixture into muffin cases until it reaches the halfway point, then add the Nutella truffles (which you can easily make at home) and cover it with more batter.
Add remaining chocolate chips to the top of each muffin.
Step 4: Bake & Serve
Bake at 356F for 18 to 20 minutes.
Let the Nutella chocolate chip muffins cool before serving.
