Blackheads and other acne can be painful and upsetting. It makes your face prick with pain and looks blotchy. Never mind trying to clean out those infected pores, it’s frustrating and seems never ending, until you look at these do it yourself methods of tackling your acne.

Easy DIY Acne Masks that You'll LOVE!

Turmeric Acne Mask DIY Tutorial

Turmeric is a very versatile plant, and with Turmeric powder in your acne mask, you get an anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory boost.

  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp – it’s not a lot, but it’s more than enough for this powerful plant.
  • Rice Flour – 2 tsp – This will absorb all the nasty oils clogging your pores
  • Plain yogurt 3 Tbsp – this has lactic acid in it
  1. Combine the ingredients it’ll look yellow once it’s done because of the Turmeric.
  2. Brush it on your skin with a cosmetic brush especially on area’s you usually get acne.
  3. Let it dry for 15 or 20 minutes and then wet the dried face pack, gently wash the mask around your face for about a minute before washing it off with cool water.
  4. Pat your face dry. Apply 2-3 times a week, it helps acne and helps get rid of acne scars.

Honey and Cinnamon Bacteria-Fighting Face Mask

Honey has for a long time been known to draw out bacteria and infection from serious wounds and has been used by vets and holistic healers for ages.

  • You’ll need 2 tsp of cinnamon powder and 2 tablespoons of honey, nice and simple.
  1. Stir them together to make it a smooth paste
  2. Apply to either just acne areas or the whole face
  3. Leave it on for 15 minutes
  4. Wash off with warm water and the mask can be sticky, so be careful
  5. Pat your skin dry with a paper towel and use it a few times a week to get soft acne free skin.

Aloe Vera Do It Yourself Acne Mask

Aloe Vera is another super useful plant that has been used for hundreds of years to help heal others. It helps heal skin and attacks bad bacteria. Tea Tree Oil attacks inflammation, throwing to two together can be a serious attack on your acne.

  • Tea Tree Oil – only 2-3 drops
  • Aloe Vera Gel – 1 Tbsp
  1. Mix well to ensure that the ingredients are mixed together
  2. Wash your face with a gentle face wash beforehand and then apply the mixture
  3. Let it sit 15 minutes and then wash off with cold water before patting your skin dry.

This Homemade Face Mask For Acne Has Clay in it

Clay? It helps heal current acne and draws out the oils in your skin that make acne in the first place.

  • You’ll need Bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar
  1. Mix the bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar together in equal parts, 2 tbsp of each for example.
  2. Apply to your skin, let it dry and wash it off with cool water.

Charcoal DIY Acne Mask

This mask has bentonite clay, Charcoal and even tea tree oil like some of the others we’ve seen here's a full list:

  • Bentonite clay – 3 tbsp
  • Activated charcoal – 1 tsp
  • Witch Hazel – 3 tbsp
  • 20 drops tea tree essential oil
  • Leucidal – 3 grams
  1. Don’t use a metal bowl to mix the ingredients together, the charcoal and clay can act against the metal, when mixed together thoroughly it’s much gentler on the things around it, such as your skin.
  2. Mix everything together and apply all over the face, lead the area around your eyes and lips uncovered.
  3. Let it dry completely before you rinse the mask off. It should pull out any unwanted blackheads when you wash it off.
  4. Pat your skin dry.

Coffee DIY Acne Mask

For this one you’ll need:

  • 1 Avocado
  • ½ cup of ground coffee
  • Water as necessary
  1. Mix the coffee and avocado to get a paste and a little water to get it to the right consistency.
  2. You don’t leave this mask on wash your face, scrub it with the mask mix, and then immediately wash it off.
  3. This pulls the impurities from your skin and washes them down the drain. The really useful part here is the coffee, it acts like tiny hands, massaging your pores and pulling the nasty bits out into the avocado.
