Festive Crafts DIY Felt Ball Garland

Felt Ball Garland | Party Decorations

Don't you just love when parties are colorful and festive? I never throw a party without making sure that I have my decorations in place. Whether it be an intimate get-together or a backyard barbecue, I see to it that my guests feel the cheer in the air. That's why when I learned how to make felt balls, I immediately thought of what DIY craft projects I can make out of it. And I thought of a felt ball garland!

It's the perfect thing to wrap around a Christmas tree but you can also hang them if you're tired of the usual garlands you use for your parties. It's fun and easy to make. You can even customize it to any size and color you want to make sure that it matches your theme!

Materials you'll need for your felt ball garland:

• felt balls (make your own here)
• embroidery floss
• needle

Step 1

Make your felt balls in the size and colors that you want. In case this is your first time making them head over to our post on how to make felt balls! When making different sizes, remember that your felt balls will shrink 50 percent of the initial size.

Step 2

Thread your embroidery needle and thread. You can make it as long as you want depending on how long you need it to be. Gently pierce through your felt ball. Repeat this process.

Step 3

Continue stringing your felt balls until you have your desired length. Once your satisfied with the amount of felt balls, space them out and tie the end of your thread.

And you're done! You can hang them however you like!

This would be perfect for a Christmas tree or for your next festive party. If you're following a theme, you can make different colored felt balls to match the occasion.

Don't you just love a quick and easy DIY craft project. When I made mine, I decided to make it colorful like the image above. It was for my kid's birthday party and it matched the colorful balloons I bought. I even had him help out in making them. He bragged to his friends about it and the look on his friends was priceless. They were so amused by the colors and the cheer it brought to the venue. Moreover, they were so impressed that their friend was able to make a cool DIY project.

If you're decorating a child's room, this can also do the trick. Just make felt balls in the color that they want and hang them in the room. You can also make shorter garland to hang from the ceiling and I'm sure it will be lovely! It's a great room decoration idea that anyone will appreciate!
