To help you get started, here are some awesome DIY kitchen ideas you may want to consider:

1. Hanging Mason Jars

Get rid of clutter in the kitchen by fastening the cover of large bottles or jars onto the bottom surface of your kitchen cabinet overhang. Then simply fasten the jar onto their respective covers. You can use this ingenious way to store pasta, herbs and spices, and other dry ingredients.

2. Hooks Inside Cabinets

Utilize the inside panel of doors of your cupboards and other cabinets in the kitchen. Attaching several towel hooks on the inside surface can hold covers of cooking pots and pans. If you attach a wooden or even a stainless or plastic hook onto the surface, this can also accommodate your cutting board and other flat kitchen utensils.

3. Under-the-Sink Pull-Out Drawers

Look under your kitchen sink and see how much space you have there. If you know a little carpentry, you can make a simple pull‐out drawer that opens as the doors to the kitchen sink opens. Here, you now have another way of utilizing that empty space. Just make sure to provide adequate waterproofing as it can be quite damp inside.

4. Spice Jar Storage

Drill holes that can fit small sized spice jars in your wall. For example, if your spice jar is about 3 inches wide, then you have to create several holes 3 inches in diameter to fit several of your spice jars. Or, you can ask a carpenter to make you a framed box with holes for your spice jars. You simply just have to attach this to your wall and you now have beautiful and functional wall décor. Additionally, you'll simply be able to see which is pepper, paprika, fennel seeds, cumin, or even ground turmeric with that colorful decor on your wall.

5. Metal Pipe Hanging Storage

Got a messy countertop? You can install a long metal pipe along the entire length of your countertop and hang trays which you will use to hold or store bottles, condiments, kitchen utensils, and even ingredients that you seldom use. Now your countertop space is ready to take on all of your creative culinary exploits.

6. Additional Pantry Cabinet

If you have an extra space in your kitchen or you have a wall that is occupying a lot of space, you can ask a carpenter to make you a cabinet to add pantry space. Make sure that the design will be in such a way that it is a pull‐out drawer style. All you need is a little imagination to take a blank space and make it a useful one.

7. Corner Shelf Storage

Make full use of your corners. One of the most wasted space in a kitchen cabinet is the corner where the two sides of an L‐counter top actually meet. In most kitchens, this is open. Others do not use the space created by the angle of both sections. Getting a carpenter to customize the space is a welcome surprise.

8. Kitchen Utensil Organization

Take time to really organize your kitchen utensils. You will be amazed at how much space you can save if you know how to organize your things properly. Optimize your space by positioning your kitchen utensils and other essentials in such a way that they utilize as little space as possible.

9. Simple Wooden Crate Hanging

Install the bottom portion of a wooden crate onto your kitchen wall. Apply some paint or varnish and use this as an organizer for your pats and pans as well as other kitchen utensils that can be hung.

10. Versatile Cellular Shades

Cellular shades act as sun panels. They move up and down the window from to filter light. They
let in just the right amount of light you need in your kitchen, you do not want it to be too dark or
too lit. Besides their functionality, these cellular shades add a great design touch to your kitchen
windows because you can adjust them at different levels to make them look more interesting.

There are other ways in which you can stir some creativity into your kitchen. You just have to think out of the box to create the kitchen you want!
