DIY Auto Repair For Joe: The Easy Two-Step Dent Removal
This DIY auto repair video shows you how to fix a car dent with just hot water and a plunger. However, the effect differs depending on the severity and type of dent. A really steep and narrow dent might need a professional auto repair job, but wide and shallow ones are a piece of cake. So check out the steps and know why this nifty trick works!
Things you'll need for DIY dent removal:
- Hot water
- Plunger
Instructions:
Step 1 – Pour hot water on denture
The first step to pour hot water on the affected area. While pouring hot water on the dent, the heat makes the case softer thus making it easy to work with. Furthermore, boiling water alone can do the trick if you're able to reach behind the dent.
Tip: Use extra caution when working with hot water. Be sure to use protective gear like heat resistant gloves if it's available to you.
Step 2 – Use the plunger to draw out the dent
Once the surface is hot enough, you can try using the plunger to pop the dent out. However, this may take several repetitions depending on the severity of the dent–especially if it's wide.
