Ready to make your '90s-inspired cord organizer?

What you’ll need for your cord organizer:

  • Three small felt squares (grey, white and light blue)
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue
  • Velcro square (hook and loop)

How to make your cord organizer:

Step 1: Start with three small felt squares in grey, white and light blue.

Step 2: Fold the blue square in half, then cut it down the middle.

Step 3: Grab one of the folded halves, then cut a square from its corner.

Step 4: Cut the other corner, leaving it attached in the middle.

Step 5: Unfold the felt. It should look like the image below.

Step 6: Grab your grey felt, then cut a rectangle from the corner.

Step 7: Fold that rectangular piece about a third of the way over, then cut a small rectangle from the fold.

Step 8: Place a small dot of hot glue onto the blue felt.

Step 9: Press the small grey rectangle onto the hot glue, then hold for a few seconds.90s Inspired DIY Cord Organizer Step Nine

Step 10: Grab your white felt, then cut a rectangle from the corner.

Step 11: Place another dot of glue below the grey rectangle.

Step 12: Press the white rectangle onto the hot glue, then hold for a few seconds.

Step 13: Turn the blue felt over, then dab about an inch of hot glue onto the felt.

Step 14: Press a square of Velcro onto the glue and hold for a few seconds.

Step 15: Repeat steps 13-14 on the adjacent side of the felt.

Step 16: Wrap your new cord organizer around any cable. Enjoy!
