So here comes the rain! You and your kids are stuck indoors, what is the best thing to do? Well, you can let your kids stare at the window while watching raindrops, I bet you will not do that! Your kids will give that DAH! stare. Let's do what best for them! Let us feed their imagination and make their creativity grow and do some simple muscle games just for fun. And perhaps, there's no need for you to get outside the house for the things that you need, so it is simply fun and easy.

Rainy Day Activities For Kids

Non-Bake Glitter Dough!

Ingredients:

• Mixing Bowl
• 4 Cups flour
• 1 ½ cups salt
• 1 cup water
• 2-4 tbsp. Canola Oil*
• Food Coloring
• Glitter

Step 1

Pour water into the bowl.

Step 2

Add food coloring to the water (the more you add the darker the dough).

Step 3

Add the oil* (the secret to keeping the dough non-bake).

Step 4

Add the flour and salt.

Step 5

Add glitter!

Step 6

Knead the ingredients together.

*The oil keeps the dough soft. Add oil until dough stays together without crumbling.

Dirt ‘n’ Worms

Ingredients:

• 1 box Oreos
• 1 box Chocolate Pudding
• 2 cups Milk
• 8 oz. Whipped Topping
• 24 Gummy Worms
• Plastic Cups (Planters)

Step 1

Place cookies in a Ziploc bag and use a rolling pin to crumble them.

Step 2

Make pudding by following directions and add ¾ of crumbled cookies.

Step 3

Add whipped topping to the pudding and cookie mixture and gently combine.

Step 4

Place mud mixture in cups with worms. Crumble remaining cookie crumbs on top.

Indoor Bowling

Materials:

• 7 Plastic Bottles
• 1 Bag Play Sand, Funnel
• Decorating Supplies (7 colors of paint, pom poms, sticks, glitter glue, string)
• Glue Gun, Glue Sticks
• Medium sized Rubber Ball

Step 1

Remove caps from bottles and clean thoroughly.

Step 2

Once dry, allow your child to decorate the bottles, however, they want!

Step 3

Once decorated, use a funnel and add about 1 cup of sand to help weight bottles.

Step 4

Game on!

Set up pins and play!

REMEMBER: Younger children may need help using the glue gun, this is a great time to bond and encourage your child’s creativity.
