How to Make a No Sew Dog Tutu

DIY tutu is easy and fun to make. If you love tutu skirts, I’m sure you’re also wondering how to make a dog tutu. Won’t it be cute to see your pet walking around in tutu skirts? Clothes for dogs has always something that I’ve wanted to do. If you’re pressed for time like I am this DIY pet project would be perfect for you. It will only take a few minutes to make a dog tutu and I’m sure you and you’re pup will love it!

How to Make a Dog Tutu | Dog Clothes

Elegant and graceful, that’s what a tutu skirt stands to me. We would love to see our pets dance around like a ballerina but that’s unlikely to happen. So what’s the next best thing that you can do. Make them a cute no sew dog tutu! This DIY dog clothes will be your absolute favorite. Not only is it super easy to make, you also don’t have to sew!

Have fun with your pet and make him or her more adorable with this DIY tutu!

What you’ll need to make this dog tutu:

• tape measure
• 3/4″ wide elastic band
• 1.5 yards of tulle
• scissors
• ribbon
• safety pin

Step 1

Using your measuring tape, measure around your dog’s belly. Take your measurement and cut your elastic band. Make sure that the elastic band isn’t to tight. Take the ends of the band and connect them together with your safety pin. (In case you’re feeling it, you can take your needle and thread and quickly sew the ends together.)

Step 2

Lay out your tulle and start cutting strips of 2″ and 3″ wide.

Step 3

Set your tulle strips aside and cover your elastic with a nice ribbon. This will add a great accent to your adorable DIY dog tutu.

Step 4

Now that you have your elastic band with ribbon, take the tulle strips you set aside earlier. Leave the fabric folded in half to create a puffy look and start tying it around your elastic band. Tie it by taking the middle part and insert the bottom of your fabric then gently pull. Repeat until you’ve completely covered your elastic band with the strips.

Once you’ve done that, you’re ready to dress your pet with this adorable tutu skirt. Can you believe you made an amazing pet project in under $10? And that’s how to make a dog tutu folks!
