Life Hacks For Girls | What You Need To Know
On the lookout for a few life hacks for girls? I’ve got you covered. This article goes out to all the ladies out there who get tasks ticked off their daily to do lists while looking fabulous as ever.
1. Rid Hair Of Static
Poke your brush’s bristles under a dryer sheet and start brushing to get rid of the static in your hair. It won’t hurt plus your hair will smell fresh right after too.
2. DIY Sock Bun
Envious of the girls who effortlessly rock a tight bun on their heads? Well now, you can be one of them. All you need is a sock and a pair of scissors to start. Did I mention this is a great way to use those socks you have lost its pair?
3. Bra Hacks
Whether you’re looking for a way to hide your bra straps or a hack to DIY your regular bra into a push-up, this is the video for you. Plus points if you’ve already got a box of paperclips just waiting to be used as strap accessories.
4. Zip Up The Back Of A Dress
Who knew all you’d need to help zip up the back of your dress was a safety pin and a piece of string? It all starts with the string being inserted through the hole of the safety pin, then tie a double knot to tie the 2 ends together. Then, simply open the pin and insert it through the hole of your zipper. Finally, wear the dress, grasp for the string, then pull it up along with the zipper.
5. Iron Collars In A Flash
Rid your collar of wrinkles using a flat iron. A couple of presses and your button down will look as crisp as ever. It's a great go-to hack for anyone running late for an appointment.

6. Say Goodbye To Gaping Tops
Make sure you’re always protected with the help of double sided tape. Simply stick a piece of the tape in between the two buttons of your shirt and press down on the top cloth to lock the clothing in place.
7. Keep Buttons On Your Shirt
Avoid losing your buttons with this neat trick. Coat the threads on your buttons with clear nail polish. This will help the thread from coming undone.
8. Un-Shrink A Sweater
Now you don’t have to live with mistakenly shrunken sweaters. Two basins of warm water and a bit of baby shampoo are all it takes to bring back your sweater to its original size.
9. Take Out Lipstick Stains
Blot out lipstick stains with white bread. Simply form a ball with the leftover bread and start blotting. By the way, it’s best to take out the crusts for this hack.
10. Remove A Ring Stuck On A Finger
Need a way to remove the ring stuck on your finger? Grab a piece of string and insert it through the piece of jewelry until it comes out the other end. Then make a spiral going down your finger with the rest of the string. Lastly, pull on the other end of the string. After a few pulls, the ring should slide right off your finger.
11. Prevent Costume Jewelry From Tarnishing
Coat a layer of clear nail polish on your costume jewelry to prevent it from tarnishing. The clear polish will help lock out air to stop the jewelry from oxidizing.
12. Avoid Runs On Tights
Spritz your tights with a bit of hair spray to prevent it from catching any runs. You can also spray on a few spritzes to stop any current runs from getting worse.
13. Keep Black Jeans From Fading
Set the dye of your jeans by making a pre-soak of cold water, vinegar, and salt. By the way, don’t forget to turn your jeans inside out before laying them in the pre-soak.
14. DIY Boot Warmers
Cut the sleeves of your old sweaters and turn them into boot warmers. They’re a great way to upcycle old tops you've outgrown or just never wear anymore.
15. Break In Tight Shoes
Tired squeezing your toes into a very tight pair of shoes? Here’s a tip: Put on a pair of socks and wear your shoes. Then, using a hair dryer, blow hot air onto the areas that pinch your feet. Your shoes will feel loose soon after.
16. Ease Tired Feet
Give your feet a massage by rolling tennis balls under your soles. Let the ball go from side to side and front to back to help ease your tired feet.
17. Prep Slippery Soles
Prevent any unwanted slips by rubbing the bottom of your shoes with sandpaper. The friction between the two will help remove the slippery polish off your shoes.
